About JB Roberts

JB Roberts has been singing since the age of five, when a kindergarten teacher recognized his voice and invited him to sing the national anthem at a high school football game. That moment sparked a lifelong relationship with music. From talent shows and church choirs to nursing homes and school plays, JB grew up singing wherever he was given a chance — not for applause, but because it was who he was. By age seven, he had a guitar in his hands, and singing and playing quickly became inseparable parts of his story.

In college, JB began performing at fraternity houses and bar rooms. That pursuit eventually led him to drop out of school and chase music full-time. But the road wasn’t all spotlight and stages. Years of chasing the dream led to a dark spiral — drug addiction, other destructive behaviors, and suicidal thoughts. In 2010, everything changed. JB met God on a quiet Tuesday, walked away from music, and began the long, honest road of recovery, surrender, and healing.

What followed wasn’t a comeback — it was a resurrection. God used JB’s hands to build two successful small businesses, and in the process, rebuilt his heart. He found purpose leading worship at church. He fell in love again and married his best friend — the woman who eventually encouraged him to step back into the music he once laid down.

In 2024, with the birth of his son, melodies began to return. Songs began to pour out. And JB realized that this time, music wasn’t about chasing a spotlight — it was about honoring the little boy who had a dream, the God who saved him, and the life he’d been given to tell the story.

The More Than You Know project is JB’s return — not to the stage, but to himself. Honest, soulful, and rooted in faith, the songs pull from a life fully lived: broken and rebuilt, with love at the center and God in every line.

JB is a husband, a father, a businessman, a worship leader, and a man who knows what it means to be lost — and found. His music isn’t just heard. It’s lived.
